Experienced hikers coming from Val Masino can use this route as an approach to Rifugio Bresciadega. Snowfields may remain near the pass early in the season, and poles are useful on the long descent. Check hut opening and route conditions.

Route description

From Rifugio Omio, follow Sentiero Risari through Valle dell'Oro and climb over grassy and stony slopes to Passo dell'Oro at 2,512 m. The route descends into Valle d'Averta, joins the Sentiero Roma and continues towards Alpe Coeder and Rifugio Brasca. The final section follows the valley floor through meadows, larches and streams to Rifugio Bresciadega.
